NOTE: This book is in FAIR condition with soiling and rubbing of the covers spine; the cover have some scotch type on them; the corners are bumped; previous owner’s name is written inside; I did not see any writing on the page; the pages are readable, clean and tight. This is an ex-library book with a cardholder glued on the last page and old markings throughout. Contest includes: nothing happened to me until this spring. I don’t mean that nothing had happened in relation to what a teacher would call my environment; I mean that nothing had happened to me; myself; Deitz. What I want to do is to get everything down on paper. The good, the bad, the whole. You see, it as both good and bad. But I don’t want to forget any of it. If I forget, I’m sunk. It all started the night we went to the tryouts for the little theater play. My mother and I and my sister, Lee, had eaten dinner and then put the roast back in the oven to keep warm for my father. He’s a doctor and he wasn’t home yet. It had been sort of a crazy dinner because the kitchen was being redone-we were redecorating- and we ate from trays in the clubroom, surrounded by all the junk the painter had thrown out of the kitchen, and much, much more. This book does not have illustrations. Thanks for looking.
